Frybread Software

Frybread Software is the creation of business partners Stuart Compton and Brian Quinette. We're both refugees of many years in the computer game industry.

Stuart does the art, UI, visual design and all of the programming.

Brian is the word guy and game designer. He also does some pretty fine art as well.

'Frybread' is the name of a Native American staple of family dinners, Pow-Wows, and just good eating. Stuart is Lokota, and frybread has always been there for good times, large gatherings and tasty meals.

We hope you like what we have to offer and we welcome comments at:

Word Lover's Word Search is the game for people who love a well-crafted puzzle. It has over 75 fun word lists with unique themes, created by a game designer, not a computer. A new, intricate puzzle is generated every time you play using clever rules for word placement. It won't drain your battery, won't use up your memory, and works with the iPod so you can listen to music while you play.

Additional features include:

  • Auto-saves when you press Home, or when there's a phone call, so you won't lose your game.
  • Tilt-A-Vision! With this special option selected, all the letters in a puzzle stay upright as you rotate or tilt your iPhone or iPod touch.
  • Four puzzle sizes, from kid-friendly 10x10 to challenging 18x18.
  • New in-game feature to buy additional packages of word lists. Our first package "By The Book"; is currently available, with over 65 new word lists all for only one dollar.
  • Game timer and random puzzle selector.

Saevum Tempus Serpit

Pitiless, slow moving time

I wasted time, and now doth time waste me;

For now hath time made me his numbering clock:

My thoughts are minutes; and with sighs they jar

Their watches on unto mine eyes, the outward watch,

Whereto my finger, like a dial's point,

Is pointing still, in cleansing them from tears.

  • William Shakespeare, Richard II, act 5, scene 5

If Louis the Fourteenth were alive today, he'd be almost 300 years old. He'd also have this clock on his iPhone, a sun clock fit for a Sun King. And now you can too. While it's docked on your desk, it gives your castle that 'touch of Versailles' elegance. The clock includes not only the sunrise and sunset dials you'd expect with such Old World craftsmanship, but also a rare sphere-style moon phase indicator. In the field (whether you're fighting the Hapsburgs for control of the Spanish throne, or simply taking the train to work) the sun clock displays your latitude and longitude, both in degrees and on a miniature map of the world. Made from the finest and purest gold pixels, it never needs dusting, oiling, or polishing. Become a patron of the arts, download the sun clock and let your iPhone shine forth!

Are you chicken? Party Chicken is the egg-citing new party game for 2 to 6 players. Each round, players stay in for as long as they dare. Will you chicken out and settle for chicken feed? Or will you risk your points and rule the roost?

  • Fun to play. With a variety of rounds, players make each game different by how they play. Think quick and trust your gut or wing it and get lucky. Sometimes the early bird gets the worm, sometimes he gets a goose egg.
  • Easy to learn. If you can push a button you know how to play. The game shows you the simple rules at the beginning of each round. An in-game help system will turn you from a bird brain to an egg head from the very start.
  • For all ages. Play with family, friends, or the Frat. Whether you're a spring chicken or an old cluck, you can feather your nest with piles of points. And that's no yolk.

Party Chicken is friendly on the battery, so you can play 'till the rooster crows. It's under 20mb, so it won't crowd your coop. A vintage board-game style with high-tech design make Party Chicken a new classic game.

True Jigsaw brings realistic jigsaw puzzles to the iPad and iPhone. We love jigsaws, and wanted to recreate the fun of the classic cardboard puzzles without hunting for lost pieces. True Jigsaw uses the powerful capabilities of the touch screen to make puzzle solving easy and familiar. Playing is completely intuitive. Simply move, rotate, and connect pieces with a single motion.

True Jigsaw is a universal app. The iPad's big screen gives you the complete True Jigsaw experience, with the largest art and most complex puzzles. Both the iPhone and iPod let you take True Jigsaw mobile and are great for kids puzzles.

Features include:

  • Natural piece movement. Putting a puzzle together is just like you remember it.
  • You can set puzzle size from 12 to 320 pieces (and sometimes more!), so every picture can be played by all ages and time budgets.
  • New puzzle piece patterns are made each time you start a picture. Since every jigsaw pattern is unique, every game is different.
  • Over 50 puzzles included. Over 150 additional FREE pictures (including a package for kids) available NOW for in-app download. Even more puzzle packs are available by in-app purchase.
  • Change the game to be kid friendly with a single button. Kid puzzles are 12 pieces or less, and have fun, carefully selected pictures.
  • During play, you can zoom in and out, lock the edge frame, and peek at the finished picture.
  • Game options include a timer, background colors, and automatic edge piece sorting.
  • Use pictures from your own photo library to make puzzles. If your device has a camera, take a picture and use it as a puzzle.
  • Different pieces can be moved at the same time, so two people can play together.

Recommended for all iPads, iPhone 3gs and higher, and iPod Touch 2nd gen and higher.
